Broderne Ost: Magnus og Emils eventyr i Modena

The Ost Brothers: Magnus and Emil's Adventures in Modena

In the second season of the popular Danish TV show Broderne Ost, brothers Magnus and Emil Millang return to explore the world in search of unique and unforgettable experiences. The show, where Magnus acts as a mentor to his younger brother Emil, is a mix of travel, culture and gastronomy, all with their characteristic Danish humor. Magnus constantly tries to teach Emil how to "live life really well", and the two go out into the world to taste the joys of life as true connoisseurs.

For those who don't know, Magnus Millang is one of Denmark's most famous comedians. He has gained great popularity through his participation in several film and television productions, and he has also collaborated with his brother Emil in several projects. Magnus is known for his sophisticated and sarcastic humor, which makes any situation entertaining. In addition to his role in Broderne Ost, Magnus has appeared in films such as Klovn Forever and Druk (the Oscar winner for best international film, also known as Another round), where he has demonstrated his ability to effortlessly switch between comedy and drama.

Emil Millang, Magnus' younger brother, is equally talented and versatile. He started his career as a director and comedy actor before becoming a regular on Broderne Ost . Emil brings a fresh and playful energy to the show and often plays the more curious and naive character, which makes the situations even more fun.

In one of the most memorable episodes of season 2, the brothers visit Italy, stopping in Modena, a city famous for its food culture. Emil plans an "apple expedition," but here's where the comedy kicks in: Magnus hates apples. This creates a hilarious dynamic between the two, with Magnus searching for something far more satisfying—an epic Parmesan cheese.

Together with Lars Ranthe, they embark on a quest for an “epic Parmesan cheese”, a piece of Parmigiano Reggiano that Magnus longs for. Their gastronomic adventure leads them to discover some of Modena’s best-kept secrets, including the famous Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena.

One of the highlights of the episode is the visit to our Acetaia Sereni, where the brothers meet the owners and learn about the secrets behind the production of quality balsamic vinegar. Here they gain insight into the centuries-old tradition that makes Modena balsamic vinegar a product of the highest quality , created with meticulous attention to detail. You can watch the full episode on TV2 here.

If after watching the episode you feel like trying the famous products of Acetaia Sereni for yourself, you can find them here. There you can explore a selection of balsamic vinegar and other Modena delicacies like Parmigiano Reggiano and Italian charcuterie.
