Order confirmation

Once you have placed an order, we will send an order confirmation to your email.
Your order is only binding once you have received our order confirmation.

Prices and Payment

All prices include VAT and taxes.
We accept the following payment methods: Dankort, Visa/Dankort, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Mobilepay, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
When ordering, payment will be reserved on your account in accordance with the terms of your card until we withdraw or decline the payment. Payment will only be withdrawn from your account after we have shipped the goods. If the goods are ordered with click and collect collection in our office, payment will only be withdrawn after you have collected the goods.

Delivery

We only deliver in Denmark via Postnord. We will inform you when we are ready for international shipments!
We offer delivery with PostNord to Parcelshop or private address.

If your order is in stock, the items will be shipped within 1-3 business days. We usually ship items 2-3 times a week.

If you want delivery to a parcel shop, it costs 49 DKK or more depending on the weight of the package.

If you want delivery to a private address, it costs 59 DKK or more depending on the weight of the package.

We also offer free pick-up at our office in Albertslund. Typically, you can pick up your order 1-2 days after you place it. You will receive an email when your order is ready for pick-up. You can usually pick up your packages during opening hours, which are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, except on public holidays.

We offer free shipping on all orders to PostNord Pakkeshop for purchases over 599 DKK.

The risk of the goods passes to you when they are delivered. Especially when the shipment contains food, it is recommended to collect it from the parcel shop as soon as possible, preferably on the same day as the delivery notification is received. Please be sure to follow the storage recommendations once you have received the products.

Expiration date

The products have different expiration dates depending on the production and delivery batch, which means that you may receive the same product with either a shorter or longer expiration date, depending on the time of your order and the delivery time of the production batch.

At Italia Mia it is important to us that you have time to enjoy our fresh products.

Therefore, for products with a shorter shelf life, such as sausages and cheeses, we guarantee a minimum expiration date of 14 days from the date of dispatch (often much longer). For products with a longer shelf life, such as olive oil, we guarantee at least 3 months.

Right of withdrawal

However, the right of withdrawal does not apply to food that can quickly deteriorate or expire. You do not have a right of withdrawal when you buy food, beverages and other goods for everyday household consumption. Products such as cheese, meat (e.g. salami, guanciale, etc.), olive oil and balsamic vinegar that we sell are therefore exempt from the right of withdrawal and cannot be returned once they have been delivered.

For other goods that are not food, beverages and other goods for current household consumption , you can cancel the purchase within 14 days of receipt, as long as the products are returned in the original packaging and in the same condition as upon receipt.
To cancel your purchase, you must contact us in writing within 14 days and return the goods no later than 14 days after you have notified us that you wish to cancel your purchase. The deadline is met if you return the goods before the expiry of the 14 days.

Quality Problems and Complaints

The rules of the Danish Sales Act regarding defects apply to your purchase.

If, contrary to expectations, you experience errors or deficiencies in connection with your order or delivery, please contact our customer service as soon as possible after receiving your goods so that we can correct the error.

You must make a complaint within a reasonable time after you have discovered the fault. According to the Danish Sales Act, within 2 months is considered timely, especially when it comes to goods that are not food. However, since the problem often involves food, we would like to encourage you to make a complaint as soon as possible and within 3 days so that we can find a solution. If you make a complaint later, we may reject the complaint if you cannot document at that time that the food was bad or defective upon delivery.

The right to a complaint does not apply if the defect in the product has arisen as a result of wear and tear, incorrect use or other behavior that has caused damage to the product. Customer service may ask you to send a picture of the product in question, delivery or ask you to return the product to us, and your complaint may be rejected if the error/defect is not documented. Please therefore refrain from discarding defective/wrong products or products of poor quality including the packaging until you have been in dialogue with customer service. If we see that you have often had problems with missing or defective products, we may also choose to initiate a quality check of our delivery, where we take pictures of the delivered order. If, contrary to expectations, we do not succeed in finding a solution, you can file a complaint with Nævnenes Hus. A complaint about a product or service can be filed with Nævnenes Hus, Mediation Team for Consumer Complaints, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg via the Complaints Portal for Nævnenes Hus. The mediation team will try to resolve the dispute through mediation, and if a solution is not found, you can submit the complaint to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board. As a general rule, a prerequisite for filing a complaint is that the product or service you wish to complain about has cost at least DKK 1,110 and a maximum of DKK 100,000. For complaints about clothing and shoes, the price must generally be at least DKK 720. The amount limits may be changed. You must pay a fee to have the complaint processed. You can also use the EU Commission's complaint portal, which will, however, mainly be relevant if you are a consumer residing outside Denmark. When submitting a complaint, you must provide our email address info@italiamia.dk .

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are subject to Danish law.
Any disputes that may arise in connection with these terms and conditions shall be handled by the Danish courts.
